Spring 2013 I took a color theory class, where we learned how colors related, what works what doesn't, and how to best utilize color to evoke emotion to a design or piece.

We were given the task of designing either clothing or furniture pieces inspired by a fruit, then use that fruits shape and color to design several pieces.  We were then asked to alter one piece by colors used, materials used, and overall design.

My inspiration was a fig, which I used to create several interior furniture pieces and ended up altering the lamp to utilize different colors, materials, and function.
