Spring term 2014 I took an interior design hand drafting class, where I had to design and draft as house, as well as do the interior layout, for a made up client. I had to make a client profile, material board, and draft a floor plan, 3 elevations, and a perspective of one room (which are attatched below).
I learned a lot about the drafting process and designing an interior space. I really enjoyed deciding on materials to use in the house, and what furniture to use and where to put them in the house.
This is useful information to know for real estate and knowing how to sell an empty space, by helping the client envision how it will or can look; giving them inspiration and a new appreciation of a space they might not have normally liked, helping make more sales.
